We are also extremely grateful for the generous donations we have received for the York Food Bank, thank you. I would also draw families attention to all the extra curricular PE achievements that are discussed in the latest copy of the AHS Newsletter. We have also been impressed with the uptake from both Year 7 and Year 8 for Bikeability and the conduct and effort of the Year 7 students who visited the University of York last week to be part of the technology conference. I would also like to thank families for the positive feedback around British Science Week and the ‘EAL Afternoon Tea’ event that was held last week, both of which were really positive occasions. It was not lost on us that the opening night was almost exactly two years from the beginning of the first lockdown and it is really gratifying that the school community is now able to come together and focus on those vital extra curricular opportunities that are so important to school life. We are really proud of the efforts of students and staff and the support we have received from families.
